Goal

Treat the Paperless stack as a late-stage migration and only execute it after the simpler service moves have reduced uncertainty.

Acceptance Checklist

  • Confirm the earlier migrations (Newt, SABnzbd, and at least one subsequent stack) are complete enough to justify tackling Paperless.
  • Re-evaluate the Paperless dependency graph and secret/state complexity at that time.
  • Account explicitly for PostgreSQL, Redis, OIDC/secrets, document state, and the paperless-ai packaging gap.
  • Do not start with Paperless just because the native core services exist.

Context

The migration note is explicit that Paperless carries the highest state and secret complexity and should not be the first application migration.

Notes

This issue is primarily a guardrail and planning checkpoint until the earlier migrations have been executed.
