Goal

Define the repository-native architecture for an optional Hyprland desktop profile on Electra while preserving KDE Plasma as the default and supported session.

Scope

  • Decide where the profile belongs across modules/desktop, modules/profiles, home, and host configuration.
  • Keep the profile opt-in and compatible with Electra's base/igpu/dgpu hardware specialisations.
  • Reuse existing host facts, AI desktop integration, power handling, fonts, and assets.
  • Avoid copying the reference repository's directory layout wholesale.

Acceptance criteria

  • A short design is recorded in the issue or repository documentation.
  • The profile boundary and enablement path are clear.
  • Plasma remains unchanged and selectable.
  • Follow-on issues can implement the design without reopening the architecture question.
